Three WSOP Circuit Events To Choose From

The WSOP Circuit wraps up in style with a trio of festivals.

The tour returns to Biloxi from Dec. 5-15 with a 13-event schedule, each awarding a coveted gold WSOP Circuit ring.

It is the $1,700 Main Event that everyone wants to take down because last year’s champion, Kevin Johnson from Tennessee, walked away with $127,319 after defeating Luke Graham heads-up.

$1,700 may be a lot of money to fork out a couple of weeks before Christmas, but there are several $250 and $400 events aimed at those players less flush with cash.

Go deep in one of those tournaments and you can parley your winnings into the Main Event.

From Dec. 12-22, the WSOP Circuit heads to Harrah’s Las Vegas for the final stop on the 2019 calendar.

Fourteen events are scheduled, again, each awarding a WSOP-C ring.

Vegas is poker’s Mecca and each of the 14-events will be well-attended. WSOP-C festivals give you the chance to experience what it is like to play at the World Series of Poker.

The $1,700 buy-in $500,000 guaranteed Main Event from Dec. 19-21 gives you the opportunity to sign 2019 off with a huge win.

WSOP International Circuit Uruguay is sandwich between these events, taking place in Punta del Este from Dec. 6-14.

The former runs Dec. 7-11 (although there is an online Day 1 at partypoker on Dec. 4),and the latter takes place Dec. 11-14.

European Poker Tour Prague: December 7-17

The EPT Prague is another massive festival that PokerNews' Live Reporting team will be present at.

The EPT does not run as many events as it once did but they are all extremely prestigious and the festival are gigantic.

This year’s EPT Prague festival features 42 events, including the €5,300 Main Event.

The previous six EPT Prague Main Events have each attracted more than 1,000 entrants with five of them ending in a deal.

Paul Michaelis is the reigning champion having topped a field of 1,174 players in 2018. The German scooped €840,000 after a three-way deal.

Moneymaker’s Road to PSPC – SHR Hollywood: Dec. 11-15

Ip Casino Poker Tournament Schedules

Perhaps the best value tournament for recreational players this December is the Moneymaker’s Road to PSPC – SHR Hollywood at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

The $360 buy-in Main Event not only has $100,000 guaranteed to be won, but its champion also gets their hands on a PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC) Platinum Pass worth approximately $30,000.

A handful of low stakes tournaments run alongside the Platinum Pass awarding Main Event, plus you get to rub shoulders with former WSOP Main Event champion Chris Moneymaker in addition to having our live reporting team provide coverage of your play. What’s not to like?

The 2020 PSPC takes place in Barcelona and is going to be one of the biggest live events of the year.

Winning this Platinum Pass will see you jetting off to Spain and playing for millions of dollars for free.

Two partypoker LIVE Grand Prixs

partypoker LIVE has two of its Grand Prix events in December, one in Montreal from Dec. 8-16 and another in Sochi, Russia from Dec. 11-27.

The Playground Poker Club is the venue for the Montreal leg and it is gearing up to host the CA$220 buy-in CA$500,000 guaranteed spectacular.

Fourteen live Day 1s and five online day ones are available for the Grand Prix Montreal with online satellites available from only $2.20.

The Sochi Grand Prix is part of the larger Sochi Poker Festival. The great thing about the Sochi leg is you can play online Day 1s and be guaranteed to be in the money if you reach Day 2.

Home » Poker News » WSOP Circuit Announces 2019-2020 US Schedule

The World Series of Poker decided to make all of its announcements before the summer WSOP gets underway, and that included the unveiling of the next WSOP Circuit schedule. It will be the 16th WSOPC season and ready to launch on July 17 in Oklahoma, just one day after the final table of the WSOP Main Event happens in Las Vegas.

Currently, the last of the 2018-2019 season of the WSOPC is happening at Harrah’s New Orleans through May 20, and the international circuit still has one more stop remaining in its current season. That event will take place at the Casino de Marrakech in Morocco from June 15-30.

True Season-Ender

Officially, the current WSOP Circuit season won’t be over until it hosts the Global Poker Championship, which is not scheduled until August. That will give the stars of the 2018-2019 season the chance to come together for one three-day finale August 6-8 at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino in North Carolina, complete with a $1 million guarantee on the prize pool and a gold bracelet for the winner.

Tournament

Players who won WSOPC Main Event gold rings or Casino Champion titles throughout the season will be entered automatically into the Global Poker Championship, as will the top 50 players on the points leaderboard. The seats are worth $10K each, along with travel expenses and hotel accommodations. Others who won gold rings can buy in to the tournament.

Changes for a New Season

The WSOP executives promise the 2018-2019 season to offer more stops and payouts than any other thus far. All main events and high roller tournaments at each stop will also be covered via live updates by PokerNews.

Players will also find that the big blind ante format will now be used in each tournament, something that the WSOP has implemented across the board.

In addition, more players will be receiving a piece of the prize pool. In the past the top 10% of the field received payouts, but that percentage has increased to approximately 15% for the new season.

Each tour stop will offer at least 12 official gold ring events, and they will range from $250 buy-ins to $1,700 for the Main Event. As often as possible, each series will begin on a Thursday and start the Main Event on the second Friday of that series. That will include two weekends at each stop.

A Schedule Almost Set in Stone

Anything may happen to change a tournament stop or the details therein, per regulatory and casino rules out of the WSOP’s control, but the following schedule is as firm as possible at this stage.

Each stop’s exact schedule will be released as the date nears, complete with buy-ins, event dates, and structure sheets.
