November 15, 2019If you’re heading to Downtown Grand for some much-needed excitement, awesome food, or a little rest and relaxation, you may be wondering about parking. Parking in Downtown Las Vegas is generally less expensive than the Strip and is conveniently close to all the downtown action. Here’s everything you need to know:
Downtown Grand Parking Details
Parking Garage
With so many things to do in Downtown Las Vegas, a centrally-located parking spot is always a good idea. Downtown Grand offers the best gambling, dining, and accommodations you’ll find in the area while also situated right in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas. You’re walking distance from Fremont Street, Downtown Container Park, and Fremont East District.
The Downtown Grand parking structure offers self-parking for Downtown Las Vegas visitors around the clock. With a parking attendant on site 24 hours a day, you won’t have to worry about hurrying back to your car before a certain time. Rates depend on the day and how long your vehicle is parked in the garage. Rates may be higher for special events and dates such as New Year’s Eve.
Monday through Thursday, the rates are as follows:
- First 2 hours – $8
- 2 – 4 hours – $10
- 4 – 12 hours – $12
- 12 – 24 hours – $15
Friday through Sunday is a flat rate of $15 for every 24 hours in the garage. If you’re a Downtown Grand hotel guest look no further for free parking in downtown Las Vegas, as self-parking for hotel guests is complimentary in the Downtown Grand parking garage. Downtown Grand will also validate your parking pass if you earn 25 points in the casino or spend $25 at any of the on-property restaurants, bars, or the Grand Citrus Pool Deck.
Valet Parking
Downtown Grand offers valet parking for both hotel guests and Downtown Las Vegas visitors. The hotel guest rate is $8. For non-hotel guests, it depends on availability and the volume of traffic at the property. Generally, valet parking will be $8, but it could go up if there is a big event happening in downtown.
Downtown Container Park Lot
Downtown Container Park is only a few minutes from Downtown Grand and offers a unique place to dine, shop, and bring the family while in Downtown Las Vegas. The parking lot is located right across the street from Container Park at 118 S. 7th Street and puts you within walking distance of all the Downtown Las Vegas casinos, bars, and attractions on Fremont Street.
Parking rates at the Container Park lot are $3 per hour, with a maximum limit of 5 hours. This parking lot is not very big, so there’s a good chance it will fill up during peak hours or when there’s an event going on. For this reason, it’s a good idea to have a backup parking plan just in case.
Neonopolis Parking Garage
You may know Neonopolis on Fremont Street as the home of Heart Attack Grill and Banger Brewing. However, you may not know that Neonopolils also offers plenty of underground parking at a reasonable rate if you don’t plan on staying long in Downtown Las Vegas.
Your first hour of parking in the Neonopolis garage is free, with a fee of $2 for the second hour. If you stay longer than 2 hours, there is a flat rate of $8 for up to 24 hours in the lot. If you’re planning just to grab a quick bite or take a peek at Fremont Street, this is probably your best bet.
If you do opt for this parking garage, be prepared for the possibility that you will get stuck in heavy traffic. If you’re visiting on the weekend or in the evening, keep in mind that you could be looking for an open parking spot for a while. It may also take some time to exit the structure with cars getting backed up to pay.

Another option is to skip the driving altogether and take an Uber or Lyft instead. Ridesharing has become a popular way to get to and from Downtown Las Vegas, especially during a busy event. It’s also good to keep ridesharing in mind if you’ve had a few drinks and need a safe way to get home.
Here are some helpful tips and info to make your ridesharing experience a little easier:
Downtown Grand Drop-Off and Pick-Up Area
The rideshare drop-off and pick-up area for Downtown Grand is located on the stretch of 3rd Street between the casino and Triple George Grill. Your Uber or Lyft driver will most likely pull over to the side of the street where the casino is located. It is a one-way street with diagonal street parking on the opposite side of the Downtown Grand casino.
Suggested Fremont Street Pick-Up Area
If you’re on Fremont Street, the easiest pick-up location is just behind the McDonalds on Fremont Street between E. Carson Avenue and 3rd Street. The best address to enter when ordering your ride is 301 Fremont St. Las Vegas, NV 89101.
Make Sure Your Driver Has the Right Address
With so many casinos, bars, and restaurants in the downtown area, the GPS location identified by your rideshare app can sometimes be a little off. To help your driver find you, it’s always best to confirm the address before requesting your ride.

As mentioned earlier, you can have your parking validated at Downtown Grand in one of two ways. The first is to spend $25 at one of the on-property outlets. This includes Freedom Beat by Chef Scott Commings, Triple George Grill, or Citrus Grand Pool Deck.

How do I pay for Parking at the Grand Villa Casino Parkade?
When you park at the Grand Villa Casino Parkade keep the ticket you received at the entrance gate with you. You pay for parking prior to exiting the Grand Villa Casino Parkade. For your convenience, two Pay Stations are located on level P1 of the parkade right next to the elevator entrance. These machines accept coins, cash, credit, and Interac payments. Please pay for parking here and collect the paid ticket receipt. You will need this ticket to be able to exit the parkade.
Alternatively, you can also pay for parking at the exit lane with a credit card.
